Five Guys Burgers: Menu, Calories & Little vs Regular

Every Five Guys burger, its patty count and calories, and practical guidance on choosing between Little and Regular.

Quick answer: Five Guys sells four burger builds — Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Burger, and Bacon Cheeseburger — each in a Little (one patty) or Regular (two patties) size. All burgers can take any of 15 free toppings, and a bunless version is available as a Burger Bowl or lettuce wrap.

Little vs Regular: the patty difference

If you’re choosing between a Little Cheeseburger and a Cheeseburger, the main structural difference is patty count: one patty versus two. Everything else — the bun, the cheese, the toppings — is the same. That single-patty difference is also what drives most of the calorie gap between sizes (for example, 610 vs 980 calories for the Cheeseburger pair). For a deeper look at when each size makes sense, see our Little vs Regular guide.

Toppings and customization

Every burger can take any combination of Five Guys’ 15 free toppings — lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, jalapeños, mayo, and more — at no extra charge. You can also ask for an extra patty added to any burger. See the toppings guide for the full list organized by type.

Bunless option

Any burger can be ordered without a bun, served as a Burger Bowl (in a foil-lined bowl) or wrapped in lettuce. This isn’t marketed as a certified gluten-free preparation, but it’s a practical option for lower-carb or gluten-conscious ordering. See our dietary guide for more on allergen and gluten considerations.

Which burger should you order?

A few practical starting points:

  • Smaller appetite or ordering alongside fries and a shake: a Little burger is usually enough.
  • Standard adult appetite with no sides: a Regular burger is the more common choice.
  • Want bacon and cheese but fewer calories than the full Regular version: the Little Bacon Cheeseburger (690 Cal) covers both toppings at close to half the calories of a Regular Bacon Cheeseburger (1,060 Cal).
  • Not sure at all: order a Little burger first — you can always add fries, a hot dog, or a second burger, but you can’t easily undersize a Regular order.

FAQ

How many patties are in a Regular Five Guys burger?+
A Regular Five Guys burger (Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Burger, or Bacon Cheeseburger) is built with two hand-formed beef patties. Little versions of the same burgers use one patty. You can also ask for an extra patty added to any burger for an additional charge.
What is the difference between a Little Cheeseburger and a Cheeseburger?+
The Little Cheeseburger has one patty and 610 calories; the Cheeseburger has two patties and 980 calories. The bun, cheese, and available toppings are identical — the only structural difference is patty count.
Can I get a burger without a bun?+
Yes. Any burger can be ordered as a Burger Bowl or wrapped in lettuce instead of on a bun. This works for all four burger builds in either size.
Are Five Guys burger toppings free?+
Yes — all 15 toppings are free on any burger, in any combination, at no extra charge.
